  6. Geotools  comes from the need of a method to upload in a quick and simple way
  7. html pages on the Geocities free sites.
  8. The  final  result  is  an  easy  to  use program with only few commands, but
  9. powerful  enough  to allow a full data interchange between your local(HD) and
  10. remote(on Geocities) directories.

  12. How is born:
  13. Geotools  is  a  software  that allow you to manage your GeoCities Home Page.
  14. The  stronger  point of the program is the ability to transfer files with the
  15. HTTP  protocol  (as  EZ-Upload), a thing that no one Amiga browser is able to
  16. do.

  18. The  idea  behind  Geotools  came  to  me when I encountered many problems to
  19. upload  my  home  page  files with the Amiga.  I frequently need to update my
  20. home  page  and anyone that doesn't use Netscape knows how difficult it is on
  21. an  Amiga  (only ftp upload with long rules and waitings just to see that the
  22. page  doesn't work right....).As added charge you must know that in Italy you
  23. pay  the  use of the phone line every 6 minutes (3 when you want to talk with
  24. awake  people) so I don't like to stay some minutes on line just to wait that
  25. busy  server to move my files.  Over the commodity, Geotools has even an high
  26. transfer  speed;You  can  easily look the result of your upload just pressing
  27. the DIR button.In short the great exemplification given by Geotools makes the
  28. upgrade of your web pages just a matter of pressing a button or two.

  30. For  every  command  sent  a clear and simple message is given on the monitor
  31. window, so anyone can have under control the situation.

  33. Web  pages  just uploaded will be immediately put on line and usable with any
  34. browser without any other loss of time and money.
